Michelle McDermott is a communication advisor, change strategist, and leadership coach for a wide range of organizations, including Capital One, Exelon, EDS, Kaiser Permanente, McDonald’s, and TEKsystems. She has expertise in diagnosing communication issues, building leadership throughout organizations, developing and articulating strategic messages, designing communication infrastructure and processes, and preparing for and managing organizational transformations.
Before joining CRA, Ms. McDermott worked as an independent consultant for a variety of change transformation efforts. She also led change management for merger integration efforts, shared services transformations, and other business and technology changes while consulting with Andersen Business Consulting in Philadelphia, PA. Ms. McDermott earned a B.A. in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University’s Scholars Program, where she completed her honors thesis in creative writing. She then attended Arizona State University, where she earned an M.A. in Organizational Communication, taught undergraduate communication classes, and conducted communication research on gender and dress in the workplace.
A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Ms. McDermott enjoys running, playing soccer, and reading contemporary American fiction.
